The Bible Says:
Wives submit yourselves unto
your husbands
Husbands love your wives
For they are the most important
people
That come into our lives
We come into our marriages
With love all fresh and new
But somehow it's not very long
We forget why we said, "I do"
We do not like the things they
do
Sometimes the things they don't
Hate the things that they will
Get fed up with their won't
We've forgotten the vows we made
The fact that we've promised
to love
We did it not only before the
world
But before the Lord up above
We choose not to remember
Our mates were our own choice
And many times the answer
Is in listening to our own voice
Today we whine and complain
Instead of listening with our
heart
Not realizing one of God's most
precious gifts
To us He did impart
We take each other for granted
Toss around their feelings so
bad
Then we wonder what happened
To the best friend we ever had
We save our good words and our
kind
For the people we want to impress
The ones we promised to love
and cherish
End up with only what's
left
We go out of our way for our
other friends
Enjoy their company
Don't expect from them perfection
Why, they're being the best they
can be
Lord, help us to look at our
marriage
As the fulfillment You meant
it to be
Built upon Jesus our "Rock"
And we'll make it through: we
three!
